Art Enables

Art Enables is an art gallery and employment program for artists with disabilities. Our artists exhibit and sell their work in our gallery in Washington, DC, in other venues, and online. They tell their stories through their artwork and find an appreciative audience. They earn money, pride, accomplishment, and validation.

Washington Humane Society

The Washington Humane Society operates the District’s open-access animal adoption center and offers an array of dynamic programs and services; providing comfort and care to more than 51,000 animals annually.

Food & Friends

The mission of Food & Friends is to foster a community caring for men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-challenging illnesses by preparing and delivering specialized meals and groceries in conjunction with nutrition counseling.

The Homeless Children’s Playtime Project

The mission of the Homeless Children’s Playtime Project is to nurture healthy child development and reduce the effects of trauma among children living in temporary housing programs in Washington D.C.  We seek to create a city that provides every opportunity for children in families experiencing homelessness to succeed by ensuring consistent opportunities to play and learn, offering support services for families, and advocating for affordable housing and safe shelter.
